Short notes on building the anti-surveillance-pricing app — launch progress, store coverage, and how it all works.

Tested against 40+ real stores before launch

A clean baseline price is only worth something if it's right. So before launch, we put every store UnSurveil supports through an end-to-end test: one real, in-stock product per store, checked through the exact same path the app uses, and the result compared against what the product page actually shows.

The launch build reads prices from more than 40 major US stores — Amazon, Walmart, Target, Best Buy, The Home Depot, Nike, eBay, Etsy, IKEA, Sephora, Chewy, GameStop, and many more — and the tests verified real prices on real product pages at every one of them.

Two honest notes from the exercise. First, a few stores guard their pages so aggressively that no one can read them reliably right now; when you check one of those, UnSurveil tells you plainly that it couldn't read the price rather than guessing. Second, some stores sell several sizes of a product at one link — in those cases the baseline reflects the page's default option. We'd rather explain a limitation than paper over it: that's the same honesty the whole app is built on.

Which stores get added next is driven by you: every check of an unsupported store counts as a vote for it — anonymously, as a pure tally.

UnSurveil is coming in August

Surveillance pricing — the quiet practice of tuning a price to the person looking at it — is spreading. The price you see is increasingly a function of your device, your history, and your habits, and you have no way to know.

UnSurveil is our answer: a small, honest tool that shows you the clean price — fetched with no cookies, no history, and no profile of you — so you can decide with open eyes. Paste a link, see the baseline, spot the markup. For prices with no public list price at all (rides, hotels, delivery), a voluntary, anonymous community builds the picture together.

Launching on the App Store for iPhone and iPad in August 2026, in the United States first. This page is where updates will land.
