UnSurveil Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of the UnSurveil iOS app and this website (together, "UnSurveil" or "the service"). By using UnSurveil you agree to them. They are written to be short and readable; the plain-language meaning is the intended one.

1. What UnSurveil is — and is not

UnSurveil shows you a "clean" baseline price for products and services, fetched without your cookies, history, or profile, so you can compare it against the price you were shown. It is an informational tool:

• Prices change constantly, vary by region and stock, and are read from retailer pages automatically. A baseline is our best effort at the moment of the check, not a guarantee, a quote, or an offer to sell.
• Community-quote statistics are medians and ranges of what other people voluntarily reported. They describe experiences, not prices you are entitled to.
• Always verify the price on the retailer's own page before buying. UnSurveil is not a party to any purchase you make and is not responsible for purchase decisions.
• UnSurveil is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any retailer or service it reads prices from. All store names and trademarks belong to their owners.

2. Who may use it

You must be at least 13 years old. UnSurveil is offered for use in the United States; it may not work, or may not be offered, elsewhere.

3. The app license

The app is licensed to you, not sold, under Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA). These Terms add the service-specific rules on this page; where these Terms conflict with Apple's EULA regarding the app binary itself, Apple's EULA controls. Apple is not responsible for the service and has no obligation to furnish support for it.

4. UnSurveil Pro (subscription)

• UnSurveil Pro is an auto-renewing subscription purchased through Apple and billed to your Apple ID. Pricing and periods are shown in the app before you buy.
• It renews automatically unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, in Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions.
• Payment, refunds, and billing disputes are handled by Apple under Apple's terms; we never see your payment details and cannot issue card refunds ourselves.
• Free-tier users may see ads; Pro removes ads and unlocks the features labeled Pro in the app. Features may evolve over time — we will not materially strip a paid period of what it was sold with.

5. Community quotes and things you submit

• Submit only prices you were actually quoted, honestly reported. The community feature is worthless if it is fed fiction, and we may remove entries or restrict submission to protect it.
• Do not include anyone's personal information in anything you submit.
• You grant us a perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, aggregate, and publish submitted quotes in the anonymized, coarse form described in the Privacy Policy — that is the entire point of submitting them. You keep any rights you have in your own submissions.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to: abuse, overload, probe, or disrupt the service or its price-checking infrastructure; use the service to violate a law or another party's terms where that violation is yours to avoid; attempt to re-identify anyone from aggregate data; reverse engineer the service except where the law grants that right regardless of contract; resell or repackage the service's data output as your own feed; or use the service to build a competing dataset by automated bulk querying.

7. Availability and changes

Retailers change their pages, block automated reading, and go down; providers rate-limit; stores get added and occasionally stop working. The service is provided as is and as available, without promised uptime, and specific stores or features may change or be withdrawn. We ship fixes continuously, and the app tells you honestly when a price could not be read rather than inventing one.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows: the service is provided without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including accuracy, merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost profits or savings, arising from your use of the service — including decisions made in reliance on a baseline price or community statistic. Our total liability for all claims combined is capped at the greater of $50 or the amounts you paid us through the App Store in the 12 months before the claim. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

9. Termination

You can stop using UnSurveil at any time; deleting your account (if you made one) is available in the app. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms or harms the service or its users. Sections 5, 6, 8, and 10 survive termination.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida and the United States, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute arising from these terms or the service will be resolved exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Florida, and you and we each consent to the personal jurisdiction of those courts.

11. Changes to these terms

If we change these terms in a way that matters, we will update this page and revise the effective date at the top. Continuing to use the service after a change takes effect is acceptance of the revised terms.
